SAN FRANCISCO – April 15 – Carbon Mapper, a new nonprofit organization, and its partners - the State of California, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (NASA JPL), Planet, the University of Arizona, Arizona State University (ASU), High Tide Foundation and RMI - today announced a pioneering program to help improve understanding of and accelerate reductions in global methane and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
SACRAMENTO – The California Air Resources Board reached a settlement agreement with Gemini Coatings, Inc. of Oklahoma for $145,000 for violations of the consumer products regulations that set limits for smog-forming compounds.

In her new role, Sahota will continue to help lead CARB’s climate change programs while assuming additional responsibilities in the Research Division and working with the Executive team to support strengthening collaboration throughout the agency.
SACRAMENTO – The California Air Resources Board (CARB) today announced a $409,000 settlement with Walmart, Inc. of Bentonville, Arkansas for selling private label “hair finishing spray” that violated state air quality regulations. The product was manufactured by Canada-based Apollo Health and Beauty Care, Inc., specifically for Walmart.
