About
As of January 1, 2023, drayage trucks are subject to the Truck and Bus Regulation. Please visit the Drayage Truck Regulation Sunset page for more details.
Drayage trucks are on-road, diesel-fueled, heavy duty trucks that transport containers and bulk to and from the ports and intermodal railyards as well as to many other locations. They were previously regulated under the Drayage Truck Regulation, which is no longer in effect as of January 1, 2023. Drayage truck registration in ARBER is no longer required. Drayage truck labels or ARBER registration confirmation pages issued by CARB to demonstrate compliance with the Drayage Truck Regulation do not demonstrate compliance with the Truck and Bus Regulation.
