CARB's mission is to promote and protect public health, welfare, and ecological resources through effective reduction of air pollutants while recognizing and considering effects on the economy. As the Administration's key air quality legislative staff, CARB's Legislative Office serves as the conduit for transmission of technical expertise, while at the same time providing a policy context with which to view technical issues.
