SACRAMENTO – On Tuesday, April 25, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) will hold an enforcement event aimed at upholding air pollution laws by identifying high-emitting heavy-duty trucks along a busy truck route in Sacramento using a mobile emissions monitoring device: the Portable Emissions Acquisition System (PEAQS), which screens for high-emitting vehicles as they drive under it. High-emitting vehicles will be flagged for full inspection, including smoke test, and possible citation.

RIVERSIDE – On Tuesday, April 25, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) will hold an enforcement event aimed at upholding air pollution laws by identifying high-emitting heavy-duty trucks along a busy truck route in Bakersfield using a mobile emissions monitoring device: the Portable Emissions Acquisition System (PEAQS), which screens for high-emitting vehicles as they drive under it. CARB staff expect to process several hundred vehicles at the location.

CARB reappoints all members to ongoing Environmental Justice Advisory Committee

The Committee is comprised of representatives from California communities most heavily impacted by air pollution, including disadvantaged communities with minority or low-income populations.
