What You Need to Know: 
The California Air Resources Board (CARB) awarded a record $20.9 million from the Community Air Grants program to 43 nonprofit community groups and four Tribes to carry out a total of 51 projects. Funded by cap-and-trade dollars, these projects support air monitoring and pollution reduction in California’s most impacted regions. Community Air Grants, help build capacity and partnerships to reduce air pollution in the communities that need it the most in California.  

SACRAMENTO - State leaders will hold a media briefing following the release of the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) annual California Climate Investments report, which highlights spending funded through the state’s Cap-and-Trade Program. The program has raised nearly $33 billion for climate solutions since its inception and is critical to California’s ability to meet its climate goals. 

What you need to know: California’s Clean Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) is surging with voucher redemptions skyrocketing 177% from 2023 to 2024. Early 2025 data shows continued momentum as fleet electrification accelerates statewide. 

SACRAMENTO – California’s transition to zero-emission transportation is accelerating faster than ever thanks to support from the state’s Clean Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP).

What You Need to Know: The State of California has awarded $500 million to school districts and other educational agencies to buy zero-emission school buses and chargers. Zero-emission school buses are an important part of the state’s move to a clean-energy future and lead to better health outcomes for students and communities.  

What you need to know: The California E-Bike Incentive Project will provide vouchers for up to $2,000 for income-eligible individuals for the purchase of a new electric bike. Up to 1,000 online applications will be approved. 

SACRAMENTO – During a presentation to the Board today, California Air Resources Board (CARB) staff detailed the agency’s air quality monitoring work in response to January’s historic wildfires in Los Angeles – the largest emergency response in CARB’s history.

SACRAMENTO – With the latest announcement of $33 million in awards, California’s Clean Mobility Options Voucher Program (CMO) has invested more than $66 million in under-resourced communities and tribes to address mobility gaps and reduce air pollution.
