CARB has verified the RYPOS DPF/ULETRU^TM Diesel Particulate Filtration System for use with 2003 and newer single temperature diesel Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) engines, Pin-on TRU Gensets, and Carrier multi-temperature diesel TRU engines. It is capable of reducing emissions of particulate matter (PM) by 85 percent or more. The RYPOS system consists of a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), an active exhaust filter and an automatic filter regeneration system. The system has three configurations, one specifically for the Carrier single temperature TRU, another for the Carrier multi-temperature TRU, and one for the Thermo-King single temperature TRU. Specific engine models and families that apply are listed in the attachment below.
