California Air Resources Board

2018 Updates: In response to court decisions, some elements included in the 2016 8-Hour Ozone SIP required updates. CARB staff prepared the 2018 Updates to the California State Implementation Plan (2018 SIP Update) to update SIP elements for nonattainment areas throughout the State as needed.  CARB adopted the 2018 SIP Update on October 25, 2018.

At the public hearing held on May 25, 2017, ARB approved a SIP revision for attainment of the 8-hour ozone NAAQS in the Western Mojave Desert ozone nonattainment area.
