The Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District (District) Board adopted the 2001 Attainment Demonstration and Maintenance Plan (2001 Clean Air Plan) in November 2001. In December 2002, the District's Board adopted a revision to the 2001 Clean Air Plan to reflect CARB's updated mobile source emission factors model (EMFAC2002). The plan documents that Santa Barbara County attained the 1-hour ozone standard and met the maintenance plan requirements set forth in the Clean Air Act. CARB requested that U.S. EPA approve the maintenance plan and redesignate Santa Barbara County to attainment for the one-hour ozone standard.
