On January 26, 2006, California Air Resources Board (CARB) determined Environmental Tobacco Smoke (ETS) to be a Toxic Air Contaminant (TAC) as mandated by Assembly Bill 1807. Environmental Tobacco Smoke is a complex mixture of thousands of gases and fine particles emitted by the burning of tobacco products and from smoke exhaled by the
smoker.
