2020 Amendments Adopted, with Modifications
On November 19, 2020, CARB adopted amendments to the proposed Regulation for the Reporting of Criteria Air Pollutants and Toxic Air Contaminants (CTR) and to the Air Toxics “Hot Spots” Emission Inventory Criteria and Guidelines (EICG) Regulation. However, based on public comment received, the Board directed CARB staff to consider additional modifications to the regulations prior to finalizing the revisions. Staff will incorporate any revisions through a public "15-day" revisions process, including a workshop.
Current Regulatory documents for the proposed CTR amendments are posted and materials reflecting the additional modifications will be provided in the coming months. Other materials, including prior workshop presentations are available on our Meetings & Workshops page.
CTR - Regulation for Reporting Criteria Air Pollutants and Toxic Air Contaminants
The final approved 2018 CTR regulation is now available. CTR is effective on January 1, 2020, with the first annual data reports due to local air districts by May 1, 2020, following air district "business as usual" reporting unless the district requires submission on a different schedule.
