Gonzalez Registration Services Case Settles for $1,000
Gonzalez Registration Services agreed to pay $1,000 in penalties for violating air quality regulations; $750 will go to the California Air Pollution Control Fund and $250 to the Peralta Community College District for distribution to participating California Council on Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) colleges. This settlement was reached in September 2010. The payments will be made in four installations with the first one received on September 1, 2010. An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Gonzalez Registration Services failed to comply with the Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) rule by submitting false data to the ARB Equipment Registration (ARBER) system. To settle the case, Gonzalez Registration Services agreed to the $1,000 penalty and to comply with the TRU rule.
