The California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 (AB 32) requires California to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels by 2020. Pursuant to AB 32, CARB must adopt regulations to achieve the maximum technologically feasible and cost-effective greenhouse gas emission reductions. The Regulation to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Semiconductor Operations applies to owners or operators of semiconductor or related device operations that use greenhouse gases or heat transfer fluids.

Calculates GHG emissions
California Air Resources Board (CARB) staff encourages the use of the calculator. The calculator aids in streamlining compliance with the regulation, simplifying reporting, and promoting consistency.
CARB staff also encourages owners and operators to email the completed calculator spreadsheet to the appropriate local air district staff and to CARB at semiconductor@arb.ca.gov.
