Bridge Terminal Transport Case Settles for $11,025.00
In January 2014 Bridge Terminal Transport agreed to pay $11,025.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $8,268.75 will go to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $2,756.25 will go to Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Bridge Terminal Transport failed to comply with the Drayage Truck Regulation by dispatching drayage trucks that neglected to install legally required emission-reduction devices by applicable compliance dates. ARB documented violations as they related to the Drayage Truck Regulation (DTR). To settle the case, Bridge Terminal Transport agreed to the $11,025.00 penalty and to comply with the DTR Program and other ARB programs.
