Public Workshop on Senate Bill 1075 Joint Agency Kickoff: On September 5 via remote access, CARB, along with the California Energy Commission, California Public Utilities Commission, and California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, will host a public workshop to begin developing a comprehensive report on hydrogen as is required in Senate Bill (SB) 1075. This workshop will inform the SB 1075 report, which will include technical and policy evaluations and recommendations regarding the development, deployment, and use of hydrogen for reducing emissions. Staff will request written feedback following the workshop.
Planning and Capacity Building Administrator Question-and-Answer Session: On September 6 via remote access, CARB will host the second and final question-and-answer session for the statewide Planning and Capacity Building Administrator (PCB Administrator) solicitation. This $5 million competitive grant solicitation is for the administration of Planning and Capacity Building projects and the support of Clean Mobility in Schools and Sustainable Transportation Equity Project implementation. CARB staff will respond to applicants’ questions regarding eligibility, application components, and the process overall.
Research Committee Meeting: On September 6 in Sacramento and via remote access, CARB will host a public meeting of the Research Screening Committee (RSC). This committee is composed of scientists, engineers, and other professionals who are knowledgeable, qualified, and experienced in air pollution issues. RSC meets two-to-four times a year to review proposed and completed research projects.
