1. Urban and Rural Redefinitions Post-2020 Census
- The U.S. Census Bureau updated the definitions of urban and rural areas.
- Key Changes:
- Minimum Population Threshold: Now 5000 people or 2000 housing units (previously 2500 people).
- Housing Unit Density: Used instead of population density for urban classification. '
- No Distinction Between Urban Types: All areas, regardless of size, are termed "urban areas."

2. Fresno County Rural Transit Agency (FCRTA) Projects
- Microtransit Service in Biola:
- Vehicle: Chevy Bolt EV stationed in Biola.
- Operation: Managed by a subcontractor, employing a local resident as the driver.
- Usage: For trips to college, grocery shopping, library, employment, etc.
- Partnership: League of Women Voters covering fares; connections to FCRTA, FAX, and Clovis Transit routes.
- Infrastructure: Charger installed in Biola in partnership with the Biola Community Services District.
