YA-SA Tanker and Transportation S.A. Case Settles for $20,000.00

YA-SA Tanker and Transportation paid $20,000.00 in penalties to the California Air Resources Board, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on November 18, 2013. An investigation by the ARB showed that YA-SA Tanker and Transportation vessel YA-SA Golden Horn, failed to operate on compliant distillate fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters in July and August of 2012 and August of 2013. YA-SA Tanker and Transportation took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion. To settle the case, YA-SA Tanker and Transportation agreed to the $20,000.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
