Whitmire Micro-Gen Research Laboratories, Inc. Case Settles for $5,000

On May 20, 2010, a case was settled with Whitmire Micro-Gen Research Laboratories, Inc., for selling Prescription Treatment Pyrethrum Total Release Insecticide that made representations on the label that the insecticide was suitable for use in garden centers and hobby green houses which made the product subject to the 45 percent by weight VOC limit for insecticide foggers, Title 17, California Code of Regulations, Section 94509(a).  The insecticide fogger contained concentrations of VOCs exceeding the limit.  Whitmire Micro-Gen Research Laboratories, Inc. paid a settlement $5,000 to settle the case.
