Western Fragrant Products Corporation Case Settles for $8,000.00
A case was settled with Western Fragrant Products Corporation on April 10, 2013 for selling a non-compliant product named “Extrair Wheel Cleaner & Shiner” into California that exceeded the 8 percent by weight for “Tire or Wheel Cleaner” standard specified in Title 17, CCR, section 94509(a). The products were sold from 2011 to 2012 and resulted in 0.29 tons of excess VOC emissions attributable to the violation. In addition, Western Fragrant Products Corporation sold undated air freshener products “Extrair Auto Freshener – Coconut, Tropical” and “Extrair Fragrance Gel Droplets Air Freshener – White Jasmine, French Vanilla” that were in violation of Title 17 CCR, Sections 94512(b)(1) Product Dating Requirements, but met the VOC limit for the category. Western Fragrant Products Corporation paid $8,000 to settle the case.
