Unelko Corporation Case Settles for $6,500.00
On December 9, 2013, a Consumer Products case was settled with Unelko Corporation for selling and/or supplying a non-compliant product, “The Original Invisible Shield Shower, Tub & Tile Protector”, in California. This product exceeded the 1 percent VOC standard for non-aerosol Bathroom and Tile Cleaner category specified in Title 17, CCR, section 94509(a) due to the cleaning claims made on the container. However, we were not able to accurately quantify the amount of excess VOC emissions in California. In addition, Unelko Corporation failed to file the required annual date-code explanations with ARB per Product Dating Requirements in Title 17 CCR, Sections 94512(c). Unelko Corporation paid $5,600 to settle this case.
