UMA Enterprises, Inc. Case Settles for $20,000

A case was settled with UMA Enterprises, Inc. on March 4, 2014 for selling several undated fragrance variations of Reed Diffuser air fresheners into California that exceeded the 18 percent by weight for “Air Freshener: liquid/pump spray” standard specified in Title 17, CCR, section 94509(a). The products were sold from 2008 to 2011 and resulted in 1.8 tons of excess VOC emissions attributable to the violation. UMA Enterprises paid $20,000 to settle the case.
