Transcorp Logistics, Inc. Case Settles for $7,250
Transcorp Logistics, Inc. has paid $7,250.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $7,250.00 went to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in August, 2018.
An investigation by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) showed that Transcorp Logistics, Inc. failed properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards and failed to bring 13 of their Transport Refrigeration Units (TRU) into compliance with the applicable in-use performance standards. CARB documented violations as they related to the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP) and the TRU Airborne Toxic Control Measure. To settle the case, Transcorp Logistics, Inc. agreed to the $7,250.00 penalty and to comply with PSIP, TRU and other CARB programs.
