Torm A/S Case Settles for $1,875.00

Torm A/S has paid $1,875.00 in penalties to the Air Resources Board, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on September 17, 2013. An investigation by the ARB showed that the Torm A/S vessel, Torm Agnes, failed to operate on compliant distillate fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters. Torm A/S took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion. To settle the case, Torm A/S agreed to the $1,875.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
