Terminel and Eduardo Guitierrez DBA Terminel, LLC and Arroyo Transport Case Settles for $20,000
In May 2014, Terminel, LLC (Terminel) agreed to pay $20,000.00 for violating air quality regulations: $15,000.00 goes to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $5,000.00 goes to Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Terminel failed to comply with the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP) and the Statewide Truck and Bus Regulation (T&B). ARB documented violations as they related to the PSIP. To settle the case, Terminel agreed to the $20,000.00 penalty and to comply with the PSIP, T&B, and other ARB programs.
