Tayman Industries, Inc. paid $5,700 in penalties for violating air quality regulations. This case was closed in November 2006. An investigation by the ARB showed that Tayman Industries, Inc. failed to properly self-inspect the portion of their diesel truck fleet that falls under the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP). Additionally, eficiencies were found in regards to Best Available Control Technology (BACT) installation, as required by the Solid Waste Collection Vehicle rule. To settle the case, Tayman Industries, Inc. agreed to the $5,700 penalty and to comply with the PSIP.
