Taylor-Dunn Manufacturing Company and Taylor-Dunn Corporation Case Settles for $20,000
The Taylor-Dunn Manufacturing Company is located in Anaheim, California, and produces a variety of industrial tractors, loaders and similar equipment. An audit by ARB staff revealed that Taylor-Dunn had neglected to re-certify the engine for one of their equipment lines, and had sold seven units of that model of industrial vehicle during model years 2012 and 2013. The requirement to certify small off-road engines that are sold in California is located in the California Code of Regulations, title 13, section 2400.
The Taylor-Dunn Manufacturing Company provided ARB with all needed information during the agency’s investigation and fully cooperated in the resolution of this matter. The penalty provision applied for the sale of the vehicles in this case is Health and Safety Code section 43154. The case was settled in February 2014 for a total of $20,000.00.
