Tahoe City Lumber Company Case Settles for $1,500
Tahoe City Lumber Company paid $1,500.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $1,500.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in September, 2017.
An investigation by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) showed that Tahoe City Lumber Company failed to report three vehicles utilizing compliance options for vehicles subject to the Truck and Bus (TB) regulation. CARB documented violations related to the TB regulation. To settle the case, Tahoe City Lumber Company, agreed to the $1,500.00 penalty and to comply with TB and other CARB programs.
