Synergy Maritime Private, Ltd. Case Settles for $10,000

Synergy Maritime Private, Ltd. paid $10,000.00 in penalties to the California Air Resources Board, for violating air quality regulations.  This settlement was reached on February 12, 2015.  An investigation by the ARB showed that the Synergy Maritime Private, Ltd. vessel OOCL Kuala Lumpur failed to operate on compliant distillate fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters in 2015.  Synergy Maritime Private, Ltd. took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion.  To settle the case, Synergy Maritime Private, Ltd. agreed to the $10,000.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
