Supremas Inc. Case Settles for $12,000
Supremas Inc. will pay $12,000 in penalties for violating air quality regulations. The total amount will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in April 2018.
An investigation by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) showed that Supremas Inc. failed to bring four (4) of their heavy duty diesel trucks into compliance with the applicable in-use performance standards. Supremas Inc. also failed to meet annual reporting requirements for two of their heavy duty diesel trucks. ARB documented violations as they related to the Truck and Bus Regulation (TB ) as codified in California Code of Regulations, title 13, section 2025 (13 CCR § 2025). To settle the case, Supremas Inc. agreed to the $12,000 penalty and to comply with TB and other ARB programs.
