Sunnyside Corporation Settles for $8,800.00

In February 2020, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) reached a settlement agreement with Sunnyside Corporation, of Wheeling, Illinois.  Sunnyside Corporation manufactured and supplied a multi-purpose solvent and general purpose degreaser that was offered for sale and sold through a third party for use in the State of California containing concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOC) that exceed the standards specified in title 17, California Code of Regulations (17 CCR), section 94509(a).  The VOC violations resulted in 0.44 tons of excess VOC emissions.  To come into compliance, Sunnyside Corporation has further instructed customers to cease sales of the products in California, and has implemented business practices to prevent the sale of noncompliant products in California.
