$2,000 in Fines Paid by Scepter Corporation
On April 8, 2005, Enforcement Division staff obtained samples of the Flo n' go gas pumps that were offered for sale at the Pep Boys Auto Parts store in Temple City, California. The Flo n' go gas pumps are subject to the Portable Fuel Containers and Spouts Regulations and did not meet the performance standards in the regulations. In January 2005, the Scepter Corporation acquired the Scotia Innovators Company which included the Flo n' go gas pumps product line. A total of 208 units were sold in California. Scepter Corporation agreed to settle this case for $2,000 on September 7, 2005.
