Scarberry Trucking Case Settles for $375.00
In August 2013, Scarberry Trucking paid $375.00 for violating air quality regulations: $282.00 was paid to the Air Resources Board, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $93.00 was paid to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Scarberry Trucking failed to timely report all required information for all vehicles in the fleet for which they elected to utilize the compliance options/credits/provisions of the Truck & Bus Regulation. To settle the case, Scarberry Trucking agreed to the $375.00 penalty and to comply with the Truck & Bus and other ARB programs.
