Robledo Transport Logistics, Inc. Case Settles for $5,150
Robledo Transport Logistics, Inc. will pay $5,150.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $3,862.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $1,288.00 went to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program. This settlement was reached in August 2016.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Robledo Transport Logistics, Inc. failed to: (1) bring three of their on-road vehicles into compliance with the applicable diesel particulate matter Best Available Control Technology requirements; (2) properly self-inspect their diesel trucks to assure the trucks met state smoke emission standards, and (3) bring their diesel fueled Transport Refrigeration Units (TRU) into compliance with the applicable in-use performance standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Truck and Bus (TB) regulation, the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP), and the TRU Airborne Toxic Control Measure. To settle the case, Robledo Transport Logistics, Inc. agreed to the $5,150.00 penalty and to comply with TB, PSIP, TRU, and other ARB programs.
