On April 26, 1996, the California Air Resources Board approved the Carbon Monoxide Redesignation Request and Maintenance Plan for Ten Federal Planning Areas as part of the State Implementation Plan (SIP) for Carbon Monoxide. U.S. EPA approved this revision on June 1, 1998 and redesignated the ten areas to attainment.
