On October 27, 2022, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) received a petition to initiate a rulemaking and other appropriate actions to add sulfuryl fluoride to CARB’s greenhouse gas emission inventory and phase out the use of sulfuryl fluoride in California. On November 16, 2022, Petitioners agreed to extend the due date for CARB's response to the petition to February 24, 2023. The petition, public comments, and CARB's response are available below:
