At a public meeting on February 25, 2010, the ARB approved the Coachella Valley PM10 Redesignation Request and Maintenance Plan. The South Coast Air Quality Management District requested redesignation of the Coachella Valley from serious nonattainment to attainment for the PM10 National Ambient Air Quality Standard.
