Regalado Express Case Settles for $375
In September 2013, Regalado Express paid $375.00 for violating air quality regulations: $281.00 was paid to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $94.00 was paid to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Regalado Express failed to timely report all required information for all vehicles in the fleet for which they elected to utilize the compliance options/credits/provisions of the Statewide Truck & Bus Regulation (STB). ARB documented violations as they related to STB. To settle the case, Regalado Express agreed to the $375.00 penalty and to comply with STB and other ARB programs.
