Redding Lumber Transport, Inc. Case Settles for $300
In February 2014, Redding Lumber Transport, Inc. paid $300.00 for violating air quality regulations: $225.00 was paid to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $75.00 was paid to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Redding Lumber Transport, Inc. had dispatched non-company drayage trucks into a regulated port which were not in compliance with the Drayage Truck Regulation (DTR) at the time of the audit. To settle the case, Redding Lumber Transport, Inc. agreed to the $300.00 penalty and to comply with the DTR and other ARB programs.
