Receptions for the Haagen-Smit Clean Air Awards

An invitation-only reception is held each year for the Haagen-Smit Clean Air Awards that provides an invaluable opportunity for Board Members, legislators, community leaders, and other valued guests to personally meet the Awardees and learn more about the importance of climate change and clean air issues. Receptions are informal, with appetizers and a hosted bar (soft drinks, bottled imported/domestic beer & house wine), and welcoming remarks made by CARB’s Chair and Research Division Chief. Large poster boards that briefly introduce each of the Awardees, including their picture, are set up on easels around the venue. Receptions are typically sponsored by a non-profit organization, such as ClimateWorks that has generously hosted the Haagen-Smit Clean Air Award receptions for the past few years.
