The California Air Resources Board (CARB) invites community members and interested parties to participate in virtual community meetings to hear an overview of California’s Cap-and-Trade Program (Program) and to provide input to CARB staff about potential changes to the Program. The Cap-and-Trade Regulation (Regulation) establishes a declining limit on major sources of GHG emissions throughout California, and it creates a powerful economic incentive for significant investment in cleaner, more efficient technologies.
CARB staff will provide an overview presentation, an overview of the scope of amendments, and a speaker to share the environmental justice perspective. CARB staff will be available for questions and comments from the attendees. The goal of the workshops is to provide information about how the Program works and to hear from community members interested in discussing and providing feedback on elements of the Program.
