Providence Products, LLC Case Settles for $12,000.00
A case was settled with Providence Products on June 19, 2013 for distributing three types of non-compliant products in California. These products included Peak brand of shoe polishes, shoe creams and leather lotions that were found in many retail outlets in California. They were found to have exceeded their respected VOC standards specified in Title 17, CCR, section 94509(a) and the total excess VOC emissions attributable to the violation were calculated to be 0.28 tons. In addition, none of the products associated with this Providence Products investigation were date-coded which is also a violation of Title 17 CCR, Sections 94512(b)(1) Product Dating Requirements. Providence Products agreed to pay $12,000 to settle the case.
