Pride Intermodal Inc. Case Settles for $11,287.50
Pride Intermodal Inc. agreed to pay $11,287.50 in penalties for violating air quality regulations; $8,465.63 will go to the California Air Pollution Control Fund and $2,821.88 to the Peralta Community College District for distribution to participating California Council on Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) colleges. This settlement was reached in November 2012.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Pride Intermodal Inc. failed to comply with the Drayage Truck Regulation by dispatching drayage trucks that are either not registered with Drayage Truck Registry or not compliant with the emission standards set forth in the regulation. To settle the case, Pride Intermodal Inc. agreed to the $11,287.50 penalty and to comply with the Drayage Truck Regulation.
