Pimentel Trucking Case Settles for $375
In September 2014, Pimentel Trucking paid $375.00 for violating air quality regulations: $281.00 will be paid to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $94.00 will be paid to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Pimentel Trucking failed to timely report all required information for all vehicles in the fleet for which they elected to utilize the compliance options/credits/provisions of the Statewide Truck & Bus (STB) Regulation. ARB documented violations as they related to the STB Regulation. To settle the case, Pimentel Trucking agreed to the $375.00 penalty.
