Peninsula Building Materials Case Settles for $15,375
Peninsula Building Materials will pay $15,375 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $15,375 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality. This settlement was reached in November 2017.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Peninsula Building Materials failed to bring six of their heavy-duty diesel trucks into compliance with the applicable in-use performance standards. Peninsula Building Materials also failed to report all required information for nine vehicles in the fleet, as required by the Truck and Bus (TB) Regulation. ARB documented violations as they related to the Truck and Bus Regulation (TB ) as codified in California Code of Regulations, title 13, section 2025 (13 CCR § 2025). To settle the case, Peninsula Building Materials agreed to the $15,375 penalty and to comply with TB and other ARB programs.
