$10,000 in Fines Paid by Penhall Fabrication

During our ongoing investigation into the sale and use of non-California certified Off-Highway Recreational Vehicles (OHRV), staff for the Mobile Source Enforcement Section discovered that Penhall Fabrication, Inc., located in Costa Mesa, California, offered for sale and sold to California resident’s illegal non-California certified Sand cars.  This is a violation of California Health and Safety Code Sections 43150 through 43153.  Penhall Fabrication paid into the Air Pollution Control Fund $10,000 in February 2009 to settle these violations.
