P M Truck Repair Inc. Case Settles for $35,100
P M Truck Repair Inc. will pay $35,100.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations: $26,325.00 will go to the Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $8,775.00 will go to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program. An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that P M Truck Repair Inc., a Towing and Truck Repair business in West Sacramento failed to bring six (6) of their heavy duty diesel trucks into compliance with the applicable in-use performance standards. ARB documented violations as they related to the Truck and Bus (TB) Regulation. To settle the case, P M Truck Repair Inc. agreed to the $35,100.00 penalty and to comply with TB and other ARB programs.
