Community Air Protection Program

In response to Assembly Bill (AB) 617 (C. Garcia, Chapter 136, Statutes of 2017), CARB established the Community Air Protection Program (CAPP or Program). The Program’s focus is to reduce exposure in communities most impacted by air pollution. Communities around the State are working together to develop and implement new strategies to measure air pollution and reduce health impacts.

Invitation for Public Comment on Draft Staff Report

The Office of Community Air Protection requests public review and comment on the South Sacramento-Florin Community Emissions Reduction Plan (CERP) Draft Staff Report (Draft Staff Report). The Draft Staff Report includes CARB staff’s evaluation of the South Sacramento-Florin CERP, and staff’s recommendation for approval.

The document will be available for review and comment beginning August 6, 2026 through August 20, 2026. Please submit comments on the Draft Staff Report here.
