Community Air Protection Program AB617
The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is developing the Community Air Protection Program (CAPP or Program ) as directed in Assembly Bill (AB) 617 (C. Garcia, Chapter 136, Statutes of 2017). The Program’s focus is to reduce exposure in neighborhoods most impacted by air pollution. Over the next few years, CARB staff will be working closely with local air districts, community groups, community members, environmental organizations, and regulated industries to reduce harmful air emissions and create this new framework for community protection.
We welcome and encourage your participation in this effort.
