Community Air Protection Program

In response to Assembly Bill (AB) 617 (C. Garcia, Chapter 136, Statutes of 2017), CARB established the Community Air Protection Program (CAPP or Program). The Program’s focus is to reduce exposure in communities most impacted by air pollution. Communities around the State are working together to develop and implement new strategies to measure air pollution and reduce health impacts.

Community Air Protection Consultation Group Meeting | Dec. 3, 2025, 9:30a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Register to attend the upcoming hybrid Community Air Protection Consultation Group meeting. Members will review the draft Charter, discuss submitted comments, hear a program update from CARB staff, and take public comments. The meeting will be held in person at CARB’s Southern California Headquarters (4001 Iowa Avenue, Riverside, CA) and online via Zoom. For more information on the Consultation Group: webpage.
