San Diego trolley In response to Assembly Bill (AB) 617 (C. Garcia, Chapter 136, Statutes of 2017), CARB established the Community Air Protection Program (CAPP or Program). The Program’s focus is to reduce exposure in communities most impacted by air pollution. Communities around the State are working together to develop and implement new strategies to measure air pollution and reduce health impacts.
June 25, 2026, CARB Board Meeting on Consultation Group
The CARB Board will hold a public meeting on June 25, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. to consider the Community Air Protection Consultation Group Charter and appoint new members. The Board will also hear staff’s recommendation to delegate authority to the CARB Executive Officer to appoint members to fill any vacancies during terms. This hybrid meeting will be held at the Byron Sher Auditorium at the CalEPA Headquarters (1001 I Street) in Sacramento and via Zoom, with a possible continuation on June 26 at 9:00 a.m. Agenda and participation details will be posted 10 days in advance.
