Chapter 7 of the 2017 Carl Moyer Program Guidelines describes the minimum criteria and requirements for marine vessel projects. Local air quality management or air pollution control districts may set more stringent requirements based upon local priorities.

Project Categories
- Vessels subject to Commercial Harbor Craft Regulation Schedules for Meeting Tier 2 or Tier 3 Standards (ex: barge, crew & supply, dredge, excursion, ferry, towboat, tugboat) - engine repower, remanufacture, retrofit or new purchase.
- Vessels not subject to Commercial Harbor Craft Regulation Schedules for Meeting Tier 2 or Tier 3 (ex: fishing vessel or pilot/work boat) - engine repower, remanufacture, retrofit or new purchase.
- Shore power subject to Shore Power Regulation - vessel retrofit.
Funding Amounts
